Jeneane is equally comfortable dealing with legally aided as well as private instruction clients who face a criminal litigation allegation.
Set out below are a few examples of Jeneane’s recent case instruction:
R –v- R – Court. This matter involved legal argument surrounding the London riot cases of 2012. Jeneane’s client had been sentenced for offences which occurred during the riots. Several months after his release from custody, Jeneane’s client was arrested for further offences which had allegedly occurred during this period of time. Jeneane drafted detailed arguments which were instrumental in persuading the Crown not to proceed with various charges. Ultimately Jeneane secured a non custodial outcome for the client in the case.
R –v- D – Court of Appeal. This related to an appeal against sentence where there was disparity between Jeneane’s client’s sentence and that of his co-defendant. We successfully argued for the sentence to be reduced on appeal.
R –v- A – Crown Court. Jeneane’s client was alleged to have committed a robbery where the Complainant suffered serious injury. Following a lengthy trial, Jeneane’s client was acquitted.
R –v- LR – Snaresbrook Crown Court. Jeneane’s client pleaded guilty to a high value burglary and accepted a number of offences to be taken into consideration. A suspended sentence of imprisonment was obtained for our client.
